Score 1 for the Big Guys

Having located the point of origin as it relates to the mouse in the house and having taken the measures to fill that point of origin with "Great Stuff" expanding foam sealant, all that remained to be accomplished was the actual capture of the intruder.  With what scant tools were available at hand and no choice of driving to the store, due to a substantial amount of newly accumulated snow, we loaded one sticky trap with an irresistibly tasty meal...peanut butter granola bar...then off to bed to see what dreams may come true.  Score 1 for the big guys.  The early rising morning sun brings with it happy surprises, not the least of which is more snow and as goes without saying, the departure of an unwanted house guest.

Already the list of "Things Needed" from town has begun, despite only half a day having lapsed since our last trip there.  Such errands will have to wait though.  Mother Nature has plans for us and we have no choice but to oblige.

The Adventures of Nan & Nate

Today was the second day at our new home. 

9 thousand 200 feet! At this very moment Ranger Nate is cleaning and sealing off the area behind our fire place.  As I was sitting on the couch just a few minutes ago getting ready to write this lovely blog post he informed that a mouse had just run under the couch I was sitting on! Fabulous. I do not care for mice and will now spend the night looking for a cat online. Other than this, our days here have been good. Today it snowed. Nate took Millie for a sleigh ride down the road and then for a quick spin on the John Deer Gator. She loves playing outside rain, snow or shine. We have 8 million boxes to unpack and I'm trying my best to get a move on. I am so grateful for all the help we had moving this last week. I hope all who helped know how much it meant to us. Thanks again! I was going to upload a photo but my cord to connect my phone to the computer is over where the mouse was... you understand?! Nighty night!

It just makes me laugh

It's been a very busy few weeks. We are down to our last days here in Provo and I'm getting pretty excited to move.  We have loved our time here but are ready for a new adventure! I wanted to post something from recent weeks and came across this photo of Millie.  I know I probably shouldn't post it but it makes me laugh so hard when I see it. Hopefully she will forgive me, if she ever sees it.

Center Street

 Today as Nate was taking me to work (I love it when he drives me to work) Millie asked me what street my phone cover was on.

The reason she asked me this is because two days ago as we were out running errands I put my phone on top of the car and then proceeded to drive off not realizing it was up there. OOPS! As I made a left onto Center street Ranger Nate asked, "What flew off the car? Was that your phone?" Oh crap! It was my phone. I was so so so sad. I love my phone and have so much info stored in it I thought for sure it was gone forever.  Ranger Nate, being quick on his feet, suggested we go back to the intersection to retrieve it. We whipped around, switched drivers, pulled up and watched traffic wiz over my phone.  Luckily it hadn't been run over yet...  Then my sweet husband jumped out of the car into traffic and risked his life to save my phone! Thanks babe! He threw it in my lap and when I looked down, it barely had a scratch on it! I guess the iPhone is more durable than I realized.  Thanks Steve Jobs,  RIP.  Oh and yes...my phone cover split in two and is probably in a million little pieces by now on Center Street.

Just another reason to love my awesome husband.

Happy Friday

  Today I'm packing. Folding little baby clothes, and big three year old clothes. I forgot how fast the time goes by.

            This month seems to be flying by. I have several photos to post and some are from a while ago! I'm currently taking a break from packing. I really hate packing but I'm very excited to  move! We will be moving to an elevation just above nine thousand feet.  Photos of our new crib soon to come. For now here's what we've been up to this month. 

                            Millie LOVES to run and has been showing us her awesome "running skills"!

         We've been enjoying the sunshine and letting Alfie soak up some much needed Vitamin D.

April 16

       Some photos from yesterday.  Alfie and Diddy are 3 weeks apart.  Alfie is older but weighs one pound less then Diddy!

3 months

  Happy Three months to my sweet baby love.  What a fast three months it's been.  Alfie is such a good baby and a wonderful addition to our family.  Here is a photo of him from our Easter weekend.

April

 For the month of April I've decided to venture outside of my usual eating habits.  


I learned to sprout and am LOVING the results.  Here is my first batch of Mung beans.

Alfie

 This sweet baby boy is growing up so fast. Here is what he's been up to lately.

   We had such a fun time celebrating Millie's third birthday. Thanks to all our friends and family for making it a special day.

Last night was not fun. 
Millie was ill and the majority of her complaining was due to an earache. 
Thanks to my doTERRA Melaleuca oil she was feeling better in no time and has not complained 
any more of ear pain!  If you haven't tried any doTERRA I strongly suggest you do!

About a boy

Alfie is now just a little over 2 months.
He loves smiling in the morning.
 He likes sleeping in his bed(his sister only liked sleeping in our bed).
He doesn't mind "tummy time" and sometimes we put the computer down on the ground so mema can record his
neck holding skills.


Millie loves to put her hair in his face and say that he loves playing with her hair.


Loves eating as well, he his 14lbs these days. If he's not fed in a timely manner he can be found snorting like a little piggy. 


He also has a "blowout" up his back almost every day.
In a picture below he can be seen sporting his sisters bunny shirt, as we were heading out for a family ski and he went threw 2 outfits within 15 minutes. 


As expected a lady later saw him in his cute pink outfit and told us that our new baby girl was beautiful. 

Time out

I'm currently in a stand off with my three year old. I want to go to Harmons and she wants to sit in her room and be disobedient. Whats a girl to do? All I want is to brush her nappy hair before we go, that way people won't think we are transients! I'm also insisting on an apology for not obeying in the first place. I wonder who will win...
